Cutting red tape for South Australian Aboriginal businesses

Recent changes to the State Government’s Aboriginal Business Procurement Policy will cut red tape and provide a boost for South Australian Aboriginal owned businesses.

Under the Policy, government agencies can now procure directly from an Aboriginal business to the value of $220,000 where that business meets certain criteria as outlined in the Policy, and provides a value-for-money quote.

There are a large number of Aboriginal businesses operating in South Australia, and these changes will ensure that those businesses have the greatest opportunity to be involved in the State Government Supply chain.
